The breeding methods and precautions of Lavender

Lavender is raised with plenty of sunlight during the growing season. When flowering, the temperature should be controlled at 20 ~ 22℃, and fertilization should be controlled at this time. Apply watering to maintain the principle of stopping watering when wet.

Breeding methods of Lavender

1. Light and temperature environment

Lavender is particularly adaptable to the climate, with strong cold and heat resistance. It is best to keep the temperature between 20 ℃ and 22℃ during the flowering season. The temperature should be controlled at 26 ~ 30℃ during fruit expansion. In the growing season, give adequate daily sunlight, to facilitate the formation of flower buds.

2. Fertilize regularly

Lavender is well adapted to the soil and does not require much fertilizer. When you put the pot on the plant, apply adequate basal dressing. The amount of fertilizer applied during flowering should be gradually controlled. We can stop fertilizing after arriving at the flower, and we can choose a flower special fertilizer solution. Phosphate potash fertilizer can also be appropriately used.

3. Plenty of water

Water requirements are one of the methods and considerations for Lavender farming. Lavender has a low water requirement and does not need to be watered on rainy days, except during the growing season when it is dry and wet. The green and budding period should be watered once. Water should be strictly controlled during winter dormancy. In the case of no snow cover can be poured once antifreeze water. Learn more about how to grow lavender indoors.

Precautions for breeding Lavender

1. Pay attention to pruning

Although the Lavender is slow in its early growth, it should be pruned regularly as temperatures rise to encourage its branches and roots to develop. Care should be taken not to overtrim the trunk of the Lavandula when trimming. Basically we can prune the bud of its two ends appropriately.

2. Strengthen ventilation

The Lavender grows well in a well-ventilated environment. In the environment of a few high temperatures and high humidity, we should often open door windows, in order to facilitate ventilated breath freely. Do not keep plants in a closed environment for too long, as this can lead to falling leaves and prevent the growth of pests and diseases.
