The breeding methods and precautions of Primula Obconica

In the cultivation of Primula Obconica, the potted soil was mainly a mixture of leaf rot, peat, barnyard soil and river sand. Cultivation method of Primula Obconica.

1. Choice of basin and soil

Primula obconica likes to grow in sandy soils that are well drained and rich in organic matter. Family potted soil can be prepared by mixing 3 parts of rotten leaf soil, 1 part of peat soil, 1 part of barnyard soil, and 1 part of river sand. The basin is replaced with new soil every 1 to 2 years during the growth period .

2. Environmental management

Primula Obconica likes to grow in a semi-shade. During the growth period, it should be placed in a slightly shady place for maintenance, but also to maintain a good ventilation environment. In the case of high temperatures in summer, move it into the shade. Spray around the water mist 1 ~ 2 times every day to reduce the surrounding temperature. Controlling temperature in 13 ~ 18℃ is the best.

3, suitable watering

Primula Obconica likes to grow in wet sand. In peacetime maintenance periods it can be watered every 2 ~ 3 days. In the hot climate, it can be watered 1 ~ 2 times a day. After entering autumn, reduce water frequency gradually, and irrigate thin water every 4 ~ 5 days. Water spraying is the main method in winter to help plants survive the winter safely.

4. Fertilize regularly

Primula Obconica should apply organic manure or compound fertilizer once a week during peak growing season. Heavy fertilizer should not be applied. After fertilization, water should be poured to dilute the concentration, and into the flowering period, it can be properly applied 2 to 3 times of phosphate potash fertilizer, in order to promote the formation of flower buds.

Considerations for breeding Primula Obconica

The leaves in primula obconica contain alkaloids that are harmful to humans. The person that has some much pollen allergy is better not to touch Primula Obconica, otherwise it will produce symptoms such as red swollen, pruritus. You can wipe your hands with alcohol before touching them, and then wash them with soapy water several times.
